An Irish-language activist, visionary, master of drama. Tomás Mac Giolla Bhríghde, or Tom a’ Bhungaló as he was better known, devoted his life to serving the parish of Gaoth Dobhair. He was a member of Aisteoirí Ghaoth Dobhair from 1938 until the year of his death in 2013, working as an actor, producer, author and director.
